Finally I was finished upgraded my wordpress to latest version 2.5.1, all entire upgrade process was smooth without any error and every plugin working very well. Back then I was make a decision not going to upgrade my wordpress very soon due to doubt the most about my plugin not recognized the latest version of wordpress. After all, I was thankful that what I have done! Definitely the latest version of wordpress is damn cool!

In order to sharing my little knowledge about how to upgrade wordpress as easy as I do, I prefer everyone using the coolest plugin in the planet as known as “Wordpress Automatic Plugin”. To attempt upgrade your wordpress to latest version ensure that you have download the “Wordpress Automatic Plugin” and If you’re novice about blog/wordpress I was made a coolest tutorial about “How To Upload And Installing Plugins For Wordpress” then “How To Activate and configure Your Plugins”. Hopefully the humble article from me can help you on this hehehhe.

Step 1

As usual login to your wordpress dashbord (old version of wordpress) in the sub-category “manage” you’ll notice that your plugin button should be appear on the very right side, take a look just like mine below.

This is my real wordpress’s dashboard look like (before upgrade to version 2.5).

Just hit the button then, it is will redirect you to the next page.

Step 2

At here the plugin will asking you to clean up your system if you not into it in the previous upgrade. Anyway just hit the link to the next step.

Then, at here just hit the link “Click here”

Step 4

This is the most important stage that you should put in priority the most. Once you fail to do this it’s totally can ruin your blog (I’m not responsibility on this if you fail to do so!). As per normal always remember “backup your data often”

While you click “download here” link that mean that you have to downloaded a fully backup of your databases to your computer. Then, a few second a pop up will appear just like below:-

Just hit the “ok” button to download the databases into your machine. Please wait a while in order to complete the download process. Double check the existed fail that your just downloaded it. If you pretty sure your back up fail is there then hit the link “CLICK HERE”

Step 5

As step 4 above, never ever avoid this stage. At here you’ll backup all of you tables such a link, comments and etc. Remember “backup your data often”!

Step 6

Nothing to say just hit the button to the next step!

Step 7

This is the stage that “Upgrade plugin” put your site into maintenance mode, that mean your visitor who come across to your site at the moment cannot access it for a time being.

Step 8

In this task is require you De-activates all of your plugin inside your wordpress. Then click next!

Step 9

To upgrade the installation file just click next.

Step 10

At here you’ll upgrade your databases no added step require just click the link as shown below. New window will open and continuing the process as usual.

Once you have done above process ensure that you return to this page and click the link “CLICK HERE“. This is process that Re-activates your plugin which that you just De-activates before.

Step 12

After you click the “continue” button at the previous stage it is automatically bring over you to the next step. At here wordpress require you to fill up your username and password as well. Refer to the picture below:-

Now you’re almost done! All of your plugin has been Re-activates. Just click the next link that’s provide below..

Upgrade process is done here..! now download your log file as your reference in the future. refer the pcture below:-
